052 What I learned from writing a newsletter for a year straight
Hello!
Here's the weekly Amazing Things & Ideas newsletter.
I’ve been sending these emails for a year straight now. (Wow.)
What I learned from writing a newsletter for a year straight
In celebration of my blog and newsletter’s first year anniversary, I wrote a blog post on the 5 things I learned from blogging a whole year.
You can read it here. (you don’t want to miss this one)
The Amazing Things & Ideas List
A critique to education:
Deschooling Society by Ivan Illich
Free PDF here. (This book has amazing critical comments to modern education.)
People Are a Force of Nature:
Here’s why. (ft. Naval and Brett Hall)
Lao Tzu on time:
“Time is a created thing. To say 'I don't have time,' is like saying, 'I don't want to.”
And I don’t see an issue with saying “I’d rather do this than do that” rather than saying “I can’t because I don’t have time”. Don’t ever bring up an imagined entity that snatches away your time. If you’re imposed to working long hours for your job it’s because you’d rather not spend a lot of time with your family than make them eat lesser meals (or whatever). Having time is a choice.
Podcast released this week
#3 – Aastha Jain: Should We Live Forever?
Aastha (host of the Live Longer World podcast) and I talk about what it’d mean for humans if we were to live prolonged lives or indefinitely into the future. What if people don’t change their minds? Will there be meaning in life without death?
Hope you find it as fascinating and optimistic as I did:
